This is the worse company I have ever…

This is the worse company I have ever worked for. Training is practically non existant you get shown once and are meant to know everything about the system and servicing of tools. The staff are like kids with their backstabbing and slagging each off or in front or to customers with some threatening each other in front of customers. Health and safety is poor with several near misses with pallets being dropped with forklifts from racking with the public not being cordoned off. Pallets and boxes are left in aisles for customers to trip over and again forklifts entering and departing warehouses without using horns been several near misses. The company just dont care bout people's wellbeing as theirs never been reviews of incidents. They hire out equipment with missing safety stickers missing from them which are a legal requirement. I would avoid this company at all costs not just for working with them as well and shopping there. Many times promise customers products but continously fail to fulfil it orders. There is a strong case of bullying from senior management on depot managers and staff to the extent a area sales director ringing a depot manager on his mobile while they are on holiday demanding he gets back into work and get his projects completed that was given less than 24 hrs beforehand

Never arrived and no refund

Ordered sleepers on the Sunday, expected delivery on Wednesday as per website. No delivery on weds, thurs or fri. So spoke to them Friday afternoon and they didn't even have my order. Blamed on a system fault! So asked for a refund, yes fine will be with you in 3-5 days. Day 5 still no refund so contacted them. 'oh because on the bank holiday', working day 7 and still no refund. Will be contacting the financial ombudsman if it is not sorted by the end of todoy.

Sack staff memebers for having mental…

Sack staff memebers for having mental health problems and for being signed off with PTSD, anxiety, stress and depression after the death of a parent. Will send out a letter day before sacking saying they have joined up with Tony Adams to help those with mental health and wellbeing only to sack the person they sent the letter to the next day! Disgusting company to work for avoid at all cost!

Shockingly overpriced

Shockingly overpriced - perhaps they rely on you being in a tight situation so you just suck it up, but being charged £28 for a small box of screws and 4x drill bits has left a bad taste in my mouth!

Superb service

What can we say about Ralph from Perth at toolhire centre 1st class service he kept us updated throughout our hire even when to another branch to collect the equipment for us man's a star !!And cost was excellent Thank you so much

1st class service

We phoned our local jewsons in Maidstone today and spoke to Alba, who is a credit to the company. We were in a crisis situation with bricks and Alba was professional, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. She was able to help us and arrange delivery of our bricks swiftly. Thank you Alba- your a star ⭐️.

Hiring a cement mixer- response

Thought I would keep my business local. I’m sorry I didn’t read these reviews first. I was quoted one price and got charged another when I took a cement mixer back that I had hired. Also told that the manager would phone me back after I had quiried the bill. Never got one but was told that they had tried. I had the phone by my side and no mixed calls. Deduce what you will. I had to physically go back to the shop to get some answers. Not happy the way I was treated and hiring was very expensive. Will not be going to Jewsons againThanks for the reply But it must be automated as I have tried several times to get InTouch with Lyndsey and get the same response from her colleagues - She will ring you back when she gets in. Still waiting, along with the receipt for the money that Jewsons have taken out of my account.

attempted to order a large amount of…

attempted to order a large amount of items 3 times on their site, after adding my card details the screen refreshed... this happened 3 times... 3 pending bank transactions ... then eventually called their website team in the sunday who said they would call on monday, didnt get a call on the day so called them...tried to put me through to local branch that didnt have the stock...then put through again finally to local branch that did...countless hours wasted and trying to search again for same products... sort out your site

Jewson Govan.majority of staff polite and helpful but couple of staff members impolite.customer service obviously doesn't matter to them

Turned up to Jewson Bracknell to pick up mini digger to be told can’t have it by an incompetent tool hire member even after on the phone they had two in stock
